How do Unagated's special gating controls work?

Our VST noisegate, Unagated has a number of features not found on other gating effects. Because of their unique nature, this blog presents two diagrams to help illustrate how some of these features work. The effect has two modes of operation: regular and ducking. The modes change how the parameters function, so each mode has it's own diagram.

Regular Mode

The parameters illustrated for regular mode are listed below.

• Delay Attack
• Hold
• Force Release
• Hold Closed

Ducking Mode

The parameters illustrated for ducking mode are listed below. It's mostly the inverse of regular mode, although the parameters name's change when ducking is enabled.

• Delay Release
• Hold Duck
• Force Attack
• Hold Open
