General Usage of Our WebsiteWhen a connection is made to our web site, we collect some basic data about that connection. Data Collected by Our Web SiteWe may collect data sent directly to us through any of our web forms. We also collect log data and HTTP meta-data when various actions are performed on our site. These actions include using out contact form, using voucher codes, downloading software, and activating software.
Data Collected when Purchases are MadeWhen you make a purchase, the payment processor requires you to fill in various forms. Some of this data are forwarded to us, and we use it to create an internal invoice that includes name, email address, payments made, products purchased, the country from which the purchase has been made along with one or two subdivisions (e.g. state, city, county), and the dates thereof. The payment processor may request your shipping address and forward it to us. We do not need (and don't record) street name, PO box, and zip, and it may be omitted for shipping purposes.

Payment-related data are used for the following purposes: 1) To identify and verify customers if they contact us with questions about a purchase they have made. 2) To comply with both local and foreign tax laws. 3) To help us understand our customer base and improve our marketing. We note that the payment processor has their own policies, and they send invoices to us via email.

How Data Are StoredSensitive details on payment are handled only by Paypal. Purchase-related data are stored offline. Purchase-related data is stored for an extended period of time as is required by EU regulations.
User Data ConfidentialityUser data are generally never disclosed to third parties. There are a few hypothetical exceptions to this policy, and we think they are extraordinarily unlikely. The following are examples of the type of situation where an exception might be made: A court issues a subpoena and it compels us under law to release such data. We discover information that leads us to believe that a crime had taken place AND that the data we have is relevant.
