Rasp is free VST plug-in effect. If makes any audio sound gritty, noisy, or raspy. While it is not a conventional distortion effect, its sound is very similar to distortion.
Rasp can add subtle hoarseness to vocals. It can make drums sound gritty. It will add noise to any instrument track, and it is a great tool for creative automation, filtering and transition effects. It can also be used for the creation of pad sounds as well as over-the-top fuzz effects.
Summary of ParametersAmount: Adjusts the amount of noise.
Frequency Range: Two knobs set the frequency range of the noise.
Oversample: Enables oversampling to suppress aliasing.
